It has been awhile...

It has been some time since I last posted here. In that time, I have started a Facebook page for my high school class...me, ha!...the girl who was shy and unassuming in junior high...has actually become a leader. I still can't believe that I was one of the first in my class to join Facebook and to pursue some kind of expertise there.

Who was I? In junior high, I wore cats-eye plastic glasses and hand-made clothes that my mother fashioned...corduroy jumpers and skirts, knee socks, and loafers. The other girls wore cute wool plaid kiltie skirts and nylons. My mother didn't approve of nylons for me yet...or of shaving my legs...so I was very uncool. And, when girls were working hard to attract boys, I was not very good in that department. I was unattractive, geeky, and athletic. My favorite class was gym. I loved playing basketball and climbing ropes. In the spring and fall, we walked to Russell Field to play softball outside. The teacher, Miss Paradysz, was in her late 50's and very fit. She was an awesome teacher. Alas, the boys did their things on one side of the gym...behind a curtain...and the girls were on the other side. We never saw them.
